Default Got a real eye opener today at the Court House

Well I got Jury duty today in Pittsburgh and got a real eye opener. The security in that building is a joke. What moron set the policy of letting the employees that work there just walk past the metal detectors ?
There is another huge hole in the security I found but I will not divulge it.
Basically anyone that wanted to get a weapon into that building could walk right in with it and nobody would be wise to them.
Un-F-ing believable we actually pay these people money to protect us.

Has entryway screening type of security like the courhouses employ EVER really prevented crime?

It only ensures helpless victims when someone determined finds one of the MANY ways around the security.

You should consider contacting them or the Sheriff's department.

Dan, I called and talked to two people with in the last hour I know that work in that building. They said they knew about that Huge hole I found in the security problem. I figured they would say something to the sheriff tomorrow but they just shrugged it off like everyone that works there knows about it.

Then contact the County commisioners next. Complaining ain't gonna fix it.

Schuylkill County courthouse only has one entrance and security is tight...didn't notice any employees just walking through either. Berks is similar.

Seems pretty tight in my area.

security for the most part is for YOU to drop your guard and think twice about things. all it is, is a comfort thing to make you believe you are safe when your the farthest from it.

I left the .45 locked in the trunk. I was only parked a hundred meters or so from the entrance and it was daylight out so I wasn't worried. If I was going to be there after 5:00 pm I would have checked it in. I use to work in downtown Pittsburgh about 20 years ago so there is no way I would go down there in the dark without a large caliper and large capacity handgun.
