    Default After Issuance Letter-Philly PD

I was searching different things pertaining to firearms in Philadelphia. I came across this letter which accompanies your LTCF after your approved by the Philly PD. In section 1 it states:

    1. IMPORTANT: When in contact with a law enforcement officer, follow all instructions given. Police officers and other
law enforcement personnel, as part of their official duties, may encounter you either on the street, inside a business
or residence, or during a vehicle stop. The officer(s) are unaware that you may be armed. You should not make
any sudden moves. You MUST inform the officer IMMEDIATELY, that you are armed and possess a valid permit to
carry. Then follow the officer’s instructions explicitly.

You MUST inform the officer IMMEDIATELY that you are armed and inform him that you have LTCF.

There is no requirement in state law that states you MUST do this.

It isn't illegal for the police to lie to you. They do it as a standard course of business in order to make their jobs easier and obtain cooperation. It's up to you to know your rights.

Unfortunately some cops ( everywhere ), have decided that they are not just enforcers of the law, but that they ARE the law. Know your rights.

I bet that most of those officers dont even know that this is not the law, and in that case, people can get hurt, arrested, or killed. And all that leads to is a letter and a free vacation for the uninformed officer.

yep! as far as I know, the only time lying is "illegal" is under oath and even then government agents/politicians are never held accountable.

funny, america started in philly with freedom and all that good stuff. It seems not its anything but except for the criminals. Then again the socialist liberal leaning politicians in that area are probably a reason why.
