Default What Mount for a Aimpoint H1

So I have sold off my Eotech 557 and going to give the Aimpoint Micro H1 a try. I have money in hand and going to order tonight if I can make up my mind about the mount. Just trying to decide on whether to get the lower 1/3 or absolute co witness I have troy flip sights on this rifle.

The mounts I where looking at where made by Larue Tactical. Going to order from them unless anyone has a better site with them for less.

    Thanks

Everything I have ever bought from Larue has been top notch and the customer service is the best! Not to mention the free prizes that come in every box.

For the smaller windowed optics lower 1/3 is generally preferred to keep the view a little cleaner.

Guys on the internet like the lower 1/3 because guys on the internet like the lower 1/3

In my experiance in the smaller windowed optic if you need to go to irons you view is too cramped in the bottom of that tiny window. I speculate that in some cases your cutting off some of the rear peep windows view and thus your eye cannot center properly and naturally.

I use a Larue Absolute cowitness with a fixed front and flip up rear with my H-1.

If you use the Diamondhead or diamond shaped Troy rear sight you can cut off a portion of the window as well.

Check out Primary Arms website. I just ordered a T1 from them and not only was the price great, they offer a couple discounted "package" deals with most sights. For instance, I got an Ultimak for $70 I think with the T1, and they have options to include risers and magnifiers.

EDIT: Check this link, prices and options are very good.

Thumbs up Re: What Mount for a Aimpoint H1

I run an ADM co-witness mount with my T-1 and Troy BUIS. It's been veddy, veddy, good to me.
