Default Bullet pushed down into casing?

So I just found a Federal Hydrashok .40 S&W where the bullet is pushed down into the casing further than it should be. I can't imagine this is a good thing...what should i do with it?

toss it out or put it someplace you wont shoot it, OAL changes pressures. Was it ever put in a mag or is it straight outta the box?

Don't shoot it!...save it and give it to someone who reloads for .40 or......start reloading!

Yep, toss it or pull it. Don't shoot it. Bullets can do this by being chambered a few too many times. That's why it's a good idea to rotate your carry ammo.
