HAZLETON - Four people were arraigned Friday on charges they discharged firearms in a wooded area.
Colin Dufallo, 28, of Cumbola, Erica L. Williams, 24, of McAdoo, Phillip N. Williams, 28, of Freeland, and John M. Williams, 27, of McAdoo, were charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and discharge of firearms. They were released on $5,000 unsecured bail each after their arraignments in Wilkes-Barre Central Court.
According to the criminal complaints:
Police investigating an unrelated incident on Lincoln Street heard gunfire in a wooded area near culm banks at about 4 p.m. A spent round nearly struck an officer walking in the woods toward the gunfire.

Re: Four people charged for firing guns in woods
Hmmm......more details needed.
Does Hazelton have an ordinance covering the discharge of a firearm within its boundries?
Reckless endagerment?? Hmm.....depends on where they were shooting. Did they have a good back stop??? Firing towards homes or roads??
The DC charge??? Well.....probably included so that if the other two are dropped they can plead to DC.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Four people charged for firing guns in woods
Couldn't find any specific ordinance in Hazleton regarding discharge of firearms. Tangentially there is a general noise disturbance ordinance (ORDINANCE 2006-6) which might(?) apply:
NOISE DISTURBANCE – Any noise ... would annoy or is likely to annoy, or disturb a reasonable person of ordinary sensibilities ...Prohibited Acts
A. General prohibition. It shall be unlawful for any person to make or cause to be made a noise disturbance within the limits of the City of Hazleton, except as otherwise permitted in this Ordinance.IANAL
