    Default Taurus revolvers?? Worth it?

I have a Taurus Tracker that I absolutely love! I was wondering what other peoples experiences were with Taurus revolvers. If this is a repeated thread I apologize and please ignore but wanted to get a feel for others preference.

Thumbs up Re: Taurus revolvers?? Worth it?

I'm partial to their 605 revolvers as "pocket carry" pieces - especially in the summertime. I just picked up a new one today!

I was going to pick up a Model 94 22 and ended leaving with a S&W Model 63 with a 3 inch barrel...real nice!! But my 357 Tracker is a keeper and no issues to date...I'm finding myself leaning towards revolvers these days!!

Thumbs down Re: Taurus revolvers?? Worth it?

I have a model 94 22 in stainless - went back to the factory for some timing/lockup issues... Now it shoots ok, I wouldn't sing it's praises or buy another... For the record, I have a SW airlite 22 that has issues with certain ammo, so any maker can have problems.

I have a .38 model 85ul and a .357 model 66. The 85 has never given me a hint of a problem. The 66 went back to the factory because the cylinder stopped locking up. It could actually be spun backwards. They fixed it but it can never be trusted for hd. Nice range gun though. Very accurate.

Also have a model 66...Taurus is one of the cheaper end manufacturers. They are great for a day at the range but as for daily carry and self defense I'd choose a weapon with a more solid build.

I love the little guy but I am not really a revolver person.

I have two both stubbies, one a .38 had a nickel finish that was ruined by improper storage (my fault) and a newer 605 .357. Both are for my wife to shoot, never a problem with either one. The 605 has has less than 100 rounds through it and most of those were .38, I can't say how it would hold up under extended use with .357 ammo, but for the money I think they are good buys.
I just bought and shot two small Taurus .380's. Maybe fifty round each without a problem.
