Re: Wal-Mart selling guns
The Pottstown store has always sold long guns to the best of my knowledge. They also at one time had very good deals on clays, birdshot and very good assortments of pistol and hunting cartridges. The last time I was there they didn't have very much ammo (post Obama) and nothing really appealing in long guns... which was fine since I no longer have money.
Back around 1995 I bought my first long gun there, a Mossberg 835 @ $140, followed by a 10/22 @ $140 and then two Remington 700 ADL rifles in 270. One wood stock for $195 the other synthetic for $220.
The woman behind the counter was great. I told her my wife would go ballistic if I bought two rifles at once, she said "Get her on the phone, I'll explain it to her... Women understand when things are on sale...".

Re: Wal-Mart selling guns
I was looking at the ammo supply last week at the Bechtelsville store and the Asst. Store Manager walked by (guy in shirt and tie) and stopped to talk for a minute. He asked if I was a hunter, etc. and mentioned that they were "finally getting guns again". ETA was a month or two.

Re: Wal-Mart selling guns
I was just at the North Hanover Walmart, they put in a new sporting goods counter with the round gun display cases that they used to have, looks like they will indeed be selling guns again.
