My latest addition, S&W 28-2 Highway Patrolman

Decided it was time to add a .357 to the collection, decided to get this over the 686 for now as the 28-2 seems a tad harder to come by, especially with the 6-inch barrel like I wanted. Paid $400 on Gunbroker and $455 after shipping and transfer; think I did well? She's in 97-98% condition, barely a turn line and no wear anywhere.

I am jealous. I have it in a three inch barrel from Pittsburgh PD. Sweet guns!

Solid gun for a good price. N frame Smith's are a personal favorite.

Very nice!
I've been looking for the right M28 with a 4" barrel. It's nice to see younger shooters have an appreciation for the older Smiff wheel guns

A 3" M28?
S&W only offered them with 4 and 6 inch barrels. Did they do a special run for the Pittsburgh PD or do you have a 3.5" M27?

Nice N frame smith that gun can handle 357 mag all day long. But unless you are 6' plus 250+lbs you not going to CC that piece! Great range gun though and other use.
