    Default Create your perfect pistol

Take all the features of your favorite pistols and combine them to create your perfect pistol. Including but not limited to grip? Trigger? Slide? Caliber? Magazines? External Saftey? No safety?

HK usp with the width of a 1911 and a super crisp 4.5 lb trigger, picatinny rail, 4 inch barrel with a threaded barrel, 1911 mags, 7 round .45

pretty much an hk that isnt bulky and easy to carry with a good trigger

or a 1911 that is as reliable and easy to strip down like an hk, with an hk slide release and decocker.

how about a 5 inch 1911 that shoots 5.7 rounds?

its really hard to choose, if my hk had a better trigger i dont think i could ask for anything else as far as a target gun goes, its just too damn bulky to carry.

I'm going to go out on the proverbial limb, and say that with all of the pistols available today, I think the "perfect" pistol exists without the need for any hybridization. The variable is the shooter (what he or she shoots best and feels most comfortable with), and the intended use.

For home defense, and the range, I don't think (for me) I could find a better pistol with a better combination of features, than the SIG-Sauer P220 Super Match.

For carry, I'm currently carrying a Glock 21SF. Again, for me, for that purpose, the G21 offers what I feel most comfortable with: no external safety, capacity, and reliability.

I suppose you'll get many different answers, but I believe those ideal guns are out there waiting to be found. It's the quest that makes it interesting.

I've been thinking of a more perfect carry gun. M&P9c or 40c single stack with a one sided slide release, no mag safety, no manual safety....

Just putting that out there S&W..... If your listening.... (Oh, maybe your working on the Governor (morons))

Didn't they do that with the P30 and HK45? Neither of them is very bulky and they both have something like 5 different trigger variations.

Anyway, HK already created my favorite pistol(s) with the "P" series. No decocker, no safety, LEM trigger, and more weight than a glock to absorb recoil. I can't think of anything I would hybrid my P2000 with to make it better for me.

Pistols are like women, they are all perfect in their own unique way.
