Range report of my Springfield Range Officer
SO... after ten longs days of snow and work, I finally had a change to take out my new Range Officer. I LOVE IT.
I only put 10 mags through it because I spent most of my time with my new AR. What I did shoot was at 15 yards, and it was pretty accurate. Definitely more accurate than I am. Two-handed, free-standing groups were an average of 3" per mag (7 rounds). The tightest one was 2.79". I did warm up with my gsg-1911 before slinging some .45 ammo downrange though.
I will post pics of the targets tomorrow when I dig out an actual camera. Here are some of the gun, but only with my cell phone.

I've got one as well, and like you, I love it. Reliable right out of the box w/stock mags, and easy for me to shoot accurately. Proof that an outstanding 1911 doesn't have to break the bank. Enjoy it!

Best of luck with your new purchase. Am thinking Springfield has a real winner on their hands with this one.

Re: Range report of my Springfield Range Officer
I paid $725 for mine a few months ago. I've heard that for some reason, lately, they've been hard to come by, and it appears that prices reflect that.
I don't believe they do, but I'm not 100% certain.
In my case, I ran Federal FMJ target ammo through it and Pow'R Ball defensive. No issues with either."I don't care what went wrong. I beat the snot out of it until it works" - Clint Smith
