Need a local Gunsmith
As the title says, I'm looking for a local gunsmith. I have a couple things I need done to a coupple different guns. I could almost do this things myself, I just dont have the confidence that I wont break something by accident.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Chris

Re: Need a local Gunsmith
If you don't find anyone closer to home, I'll suggest Richland Shooters Supply in Richland. That's about 30 miles west of Birdsboro, should be about a 40 - 45 minute drive.
207 S. Park St.
Richland, Pa. 17087
They've done some work for me in the past. Their work was always good, reasonably priced, the turnaround time was good, and they are friendly and easy to get along with.

Re: Need a local Gunsmith
A friend of mine was just recommending the Handgunner in Toptop as a nice place to buy pistols. Turns out he does Gun smithing as well. I haven't been there yet, but I've heard good things.
There is a member here from Birdsboro, AR-15 BUILDER, that may be able to help you as well. I just recently came across this info about him.
Hope that helps

The handgunner is the best around. I've recently bought a gun and several accesories and he is the best.

If you feel like travelling to Hamburg, there is an excellent old school gunsmith named Shiffer dba Shiffer's Custom Rifles. phone is 610 562 7610. Can't say enough about the quality of his work and very reasonable pricing. He's done quite a bit of work for me and it is always perfect.

Re: Need a local Gunsmith
Have you looked online for a spring/trigger kit for the kel-tec? When it comes to the 1911s, are you looking to actually have work done, or just have every moving part removed and cleaned up? If that's the case, getting those things done to a 1911 doesn't require a smith.
