    Default Ruger Mark III magazine problem

    I thought it was me but it happens alot now - the magazine will not always fully fit into the gun. (It stops in the same place) It is being stopped by what appears to be the mag release button. If you jiggle it alot, it will eventually go in but this is very frustrating.

    Is this a common problem - has anyone filed down the magazine latch release?

    Mine's a 22/45 model, but I've never had a problem... keeping my fingers crossed...

    Maybe some gunsmithing on the button is in order, as opposed to the mag? Might be worth taking a look at.
