[sarcasm] Shit, I'm going on my fourth day of commuting downtown, and you had to go and stir up trouble by going & buying auto parts! When is the prelim, so i can put it on my schedule ...[/sarcasm]

Sorry you stepped in it, again. And you just got it back, good thing you thought better of the sale.

PPD is building quite a track record of hoplophobic predjudice.

    Shut up and lawyer up.

It should not come as a surprise that many cops talk in a condescending manner to mere mundanes. Many have the attitude that they are the "only ones" trained enough (or smart enough, or mature enough, or professional enough or serious enough....etc.) to handle carrying a firearm. Their condescension is part of the tactic to push your buttons.

Get a lawyer and follow through for your sake and for the sake of everyone who carries.

Lets be honest, you werent "arrested". Being arrested is something that happens when you have done something illegal.
You were kipnapped by a group of people. (I forget the legal term for that).
One of two things about the offending officers (no other choices), they either didnt know the law or they knowingly kidnapped you. Either way, they were not acting in the capacity of their positions. It would seem that Philly would have to admit in a court that at least a few of their officers have not been successfully trained to do their jobs or they went out on their own. A LEO who is not acting in the capacity of a LEO (no authority) is just a guy on the street. Dont let this go until the cops are in jail or the PHilly police admit they arent training their officers. Take it to court, no jury will understand how 5 or more officers dont know the law.

I cannot give too many details, but I can say this - I am at home, posting from my own computer, and I have all of my property.

Guess I just needed to be shown who's boss around them parts.

Just for the record, anyone who cares to look will see that I am very much pro police on these boards, but this kind of recklessness is unwarranted, and it deserves severe punishment, to the tune of jail time for the officer involved. Unfortunately, that is not likely to happen.

I seriously hope you bankrupt the entire PPD force and succeed in getting those officers fired and put in jail.

Now back to reality... the officers will probably get promoted.

This is simply pathetic what happened to you. Bunch of poorly trained, poorly managed thugs with zero accountability from their supervisors, city or state government

Dont even talk money. Let them know you want their blood.
It doesnt matter whether charges were filed, its actually better if they werent or if they were dropped. The act was done and it was illegal. The city signs their paychecks but I doubt they will backup their actions with anything besides $$$$. Find a lawyer who will file criminal charges and not civil charges. You can come back for civil charges later.

And if funds are needed, a check will be in the mail.

Enough is enough. This garbage has been going on for far to long. On multiple occasions, they were educated about the problems on the force. They continue to do this.

They are a corrupt, and twisted organization, and they need to be taught a lesson.
