Otherwise they got confirmation on the scene that he was within his rights, and I assume they ran his LTCF and found it up-to-date. I almost hate to ask, but...we sure it's in relation to the incident in February?
At this point its all speculative. I am going to go out on a limb and assume its some sort of retaliatory response to the audio.

I sure hope they're not going to claim he violated the wiretap act.

If that's what they claim then it may just be the trigger needed to get the ACLU completely on board backing him, we'll see though.

    ^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^

I am 1000 percent confident that this is accurate. The brass, including the Mayor's Office most likely is pissed as hell that they've been publicly embarrased and they are lashing out and certainly abusing their authority to seek retribution. Seen it happen way to many times across the Country in all sorts of matters. In a perverted way, it could be a good thing, as it will serve to only increase the outrage and further polarize people against the Philly PD's heavy handedness and disregard for citizens rights.

Sad that this is the price one must be prepared to pay to stand up to a clearly out of control and authoritarian govt. I've been threatened with arrest myself over here in the Peoples Socialist Republic for daring to wear and empty holster out in public.

I wonder if we should be making calls to magistrates to find out where he is or is going and get some monitors in on the situation so we get Viper back in one piece...

After speaking to someone in Philly I think they sent the warrant squad after him to do a little more than just serve a warrant...

Mark, if you're reading this, see if you can coordinate with your attorney to surrender in a way as painlessly as possible. I was picked up by the warrant serving team once. Picked up at 7am, driven around in handcuffs for 4 hours while they served other warrants. Then put in a holding cell at a precinct in the badlands. Finally transported to the Round House at 6PM which was my first opportunity to make a phone call (if you have change for the pay phone). Kept in the tank for several more hours. Then moved to a 4x9 cell with 1 cot and 4 other prisoners, had to sleep on the floor under the bunk next to the toilet (with blood and feces all over it). Arraigned at 5am the next day and able to be bailed out at noon. Nothing to eat the whole time except stale white bread with a slice of fake cheese and wawa iced tea (served that 4 times).

If you get picked up, you will get a medical exam at the round house. Ask for ibuprofren (they offered it to everyone when I was there). It will help you with headaches you'll get from the dehydration/poor diet.

Not fun. Since you have a heads up see if it can be arranged for you to surrender peacefully and be arraigned and bailed out immediately. With a holiday weekend coming up, you could be in there a long time before you get arraigned.

    Good luck!
