Default Pigs are flying!!!!! I might be saying goodbye to my Glock!

I think I might get rid of my Glock!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I told myself I would trade in my Glock when pigs fly. Well, check out the windows folks!!!!

I am *thinking* about trading her in for a new H&K USP .40S&W.

I got my hands on one for the first time and I must say, the build quality is hands down better with the H&K. I also like the way it shoots and I shoot better with it!

As most of you know, I love the Glock platform. That will never change.
Buuuut im thinking the H&K may be better for me. . . .

    I dunno, whats your say?

I've seen plenty of pigs on airplanes, so I know they do fly. Never say never. Oh, a quandary.......

H&K feels a million times better in my hand. It's personal preference, there is no standard of what's acceptable except your very own, for yourself, and that's it. I was all geared up to launch into the glock line but after handling the M&P and H&K USP the other day I simply cannot go Glock. The grip is just too awkward for me.

Anyone who gets rid of a Glock has my encouragement! No flames, just a joke. Glock's reputation for reliability is undisputable. But some of us just can't adapt to the ergonomics.

I say that I am well equipped to handle the disposal of your Glock. In other words: There's an empty spot in my safe.

Seriously though. Absolutely, go for it if it works for you.

    H&K.. great guns.

If you shoot better with the HK, sounds like an easy decision.

I am contemplating selling my G23 with 4 13 round mags and 2 15rnd mags myself. Still have a G26 though...

Glock are nice guns for carrying. For the range.. I am looking for something a little different.

    It happens.

A few years ago, if anyone asks, if I would ever get rid of my M&P, I'd have said "NEVER!".

At the time, I had M&P9C as my CCW, M&P45 as Bedside gun, and M&P9 as SHTF gun.

Since then, however, my CCW has been replaced by Kahr K-9, Bedside gun has been replaced by Kahr T-9, and my SHTF gun is in process of being replaced by newly aquired CZ75 SP-01 Tactical.
All but M&P9 has been sold, and my M&P9 - my first polymer weapon, first nice gun I bought, that I vowed I'd never sell has been put on the shelf as consigment.

There are many guns out there, and as you go on with your life, you sometimes come across something that better suite your need.

Looks like I may be getting away from Glocks this year finally as well. Found an M&P 40 full size that just fits be better than most other pistols in my collection. I like Glocks for what they are. Simple, reliable, etc. But they've never fit me just right. The Glock 17 is close, but not quite. Not getting rid of my G17, but it's likely getting edged out by the M&P.

Glad to see another has seen the light, welcome aboard Let me also say that Glocks are great weapons. Reliability is second to one.Theres just something about an H&K that says take me home, cuddle with me, only take me to the range that you cant appreciate until you fondle/fire one that I think a lot of guys just don't get. They say " Is $2-$300 more really worth it?"Yeah, it is in my book at least. And I think the guys saying it are the ones who haven't had the pleasure of firing one. My question is what this gun be for primarily? Yes the USP's are very nice but, H&K has made some improvements on that platform.

Range- USPf (fullsize), USP Elite, Expert, P30L

Carry- USPc (compact),P2000, P2000sk (sub compact)

All Around- P30 (My Fav.) HK45 (the bigger bro.)

    Holy Grail- MK23, P7 Series (PSP, M8, M10, M13, (Also a .380 version, forget the version/ VERY rare).

Anyhow give the P30 a look. I'll bet you like it even more than the USP for sure. Also, do yourself a favor and get an LEM trigger version. Enjoy
and to the dust you shall return
