get a S&W airweight or not?
Hey all, possibly stupid question here. I'm wondering if I should pick up a LNIB S&W airweight? It's silly nice, shoots like a dream, and would carry like a champ.
dammit, I'm pretty sure that was me being talked into it right there...
Ok, so what's a good way to carry a 637-2?

I love my J Frame. I've had it and carried it for over 5 years.

I got my daughter one about 5 years ago, she carries it in her purse, will that work for you?
By the way she loves it!!!
I've never seen anyone hit like her with a snubby at 25 yards either.... beware.NEVER TRUST A PRIVATE WITH A LOADED WEAPON OR AN OFFICER WITH A MAP

I have a 642 that is my "Im running out to the store" piece. It rides really nice in a pocket holster. I say go for it.

I carry a Bodyguard 38, which is almost exactly the same as the Airweight. I carry mine in an ankle holster (not the quickest access, but good for while I'm driving). Hurts my hand a little bit when I shoot it because of the grip being so small, besides that, a very small, light, and easy to carry gun.

Why not! They are so simple and easy to carry.(I pocket mine)
I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

A good lightweight .38 special deserves a place in just about anyone's CCW arsenal. The Smith 642, with its fully concealed hammer, makes a perfect pocket gun that still packs reasonable punch. I've carried a couple pocket .380's and still don't 100% trust they will always go bang when needed. I don't have that deep seated worry with a revolver. Used to carry a Taurus 605, but its all stainless construction equals weight and mandates a belt and IWB holster carry.
In a perfect scenario, we could all comfortably conceal a full size .45 ACP pistol or medium to large frame major caliber revolver for self defense. Real world is much different. A snub nosed lightweight revolver in the pocket sure beats a bigger weapon left at home when the going gets hairy.NRA PATRON LIFE MEMBER, GOA, SAF, PAFOA

Airweights are made for the front pocket. I'm pretty sure that was one of the original design parameters.
