Underfolder vs. regular

I'm fixing to get my first guns next week, and I was wondering which you guys would go with?

Point taken. I was just wondering because if the underfolder is as accurate it would be a better weapon. So I guess you're saying it's less accurate and useful?

I'm just parroting what the real experts say each time that question is raised.


It the underfolder was "better" than a fixed stock, which one do you think would be more abundant?

It was designed for a specific purpose.
I understand that it's more difficult to shoot accurately. Poor cheek weld.
Not impossible, just not as comfortable/stable.

Why would you want your stock "pre-broken" unless you had a good reason?

Well I'm sold. I'm going to get the full length Yugoslavian M70B1, instead of the underfolder.

Sadly , until I sell my car (the deal fell through) I have to wait on the other guns.

I was considering skipping the safe until I sold my car and grabbing the .22 and sks, but I decided I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I vote for the more "evil" features, the better.

Get the underfolder. Easier to store, and it will piss more people off. Also, IF there was some order to insanity, the under/side folders would be the first to go over the fixed stock, simply meaning that you could pick up the fixed stock later, but not the folding stock.

That's true but I just got word that over the summer I have the job I got the job I wanted. Said job gets me $9k total after taxes, and that's not including any OT I get. I also intend to restart my computer repair business and I'll probably do some odd jobs on the occasional weekend. I'm also looking for a sidejob now. Basically I'll have money coming in to diversify.

So my plans over the summer include a remington 700, a FAL, and an underfolder. I'm considering an ar-15, but the FAL would more than cover that area. If anything I want to move up the a .50 sniper rifle.

Once I sell my car I'm using that money to buy some pistols.


I'm willing to be broke now so that I can make sure I get my toys before the oval office changes hands. I'm hoping and praying for Paul, but preparing for Clinton.

The polymer "Century Series" folding stocks are some of the best in the world, along with their Bulgarian clones. They lock up as solid as a fixed and you get the same cheek weld and LOP. In addition you also get the ability to stick your carbine inside a tennis racket bag with no one the wiser.

Oh yeah, underfolders are not comfortable to shoot. They do look cool, though.
