    Default SBR conversion For Glocks

Hi im new here and just wanted to say hi to everyone. I got a question. I saw in a magizine a SBR conversion for glocks pistols and was wondering if anybody has one or used one before. I would like the pros and cons, accuracy, and what ever info on it. I was thinking about to get one but not sure if it is woth it.

    Thanks

I have seen videos and stuff on it. Never used one. Pretty cool concept but not sure if I personally would drop the coin on it. Especially after adding in the fee for the tax stamp.

Too much paperwork for my tastes. Im on the fence until we can collectively get some of the NFA silliness (or all of it) revoked.

Till then a Keltec folder is a much nicer option.

I've never shot one. It would seem to me that a purpose-built SBR would make more sense. If it didn't cost $200 just for the tax stamp, then I'm sure more people would give it a whirl just for kicks.

Ive shot one my NFA dealer did... G17, with a suppressor.

basically, it has all the disadvantages of a pistol, and none of the real advantages of a rifle, aside from a more steady aiming point.

still has the low velocity and coarse sight radius of the pistol basically.

as others mentioned, get a Keltec folding Carbine... i got one, it pretty much rocks.

You need to be careful with some of them not to get your nose or teeth smashed in by the slide.

The Roni kit, and a couple others enclose the slide, so you don't have to worry about it, but then you need to mount the sights higher to match the taller cheekweld.

I've used the CAA Glock Carbine kits before at Target Sports Canada (in Toronto, Ontario), like the one seen here:

It was definitely fun, but would be even better if we weren't limited to 10 round mags here.

If you don't mind paying around $500 for the carbine kit, and another $200 to get the tax stamp from your ATF, then go for it.

If I had the choice of either this kit or a suppressor, I'd go for the suppressor though.

    Have fun either way!

Lets suppose you got one of those conversion kits, where would you engrave the firearm with your name and address? On the slide? It wouldn't be visible. On the stock? It wouldn't be on the receiver. On both?

Why would you engrave your name and address on it unless you had to?

Do you guys have to engrave your name and address on your SBR's?
