Default Is $558 a good price?

Is $558 a good price for a new Glock 38? Just wondering, seem like the prices on Guns are really going up.

    THanks for your response.

I'll post my standard reply to a Glock price question: If you invest $35 in an annual membership in the Glock Sport Shooting Federation (GSSF), you can pick up a new Glock at a significant discount.

    In this case, a G38 for $441.

That's because they're known as, "The Arizona Machine Gun" back here in the east.

NO thanks to "The Arizona numbnut ," I suspect Glocks will be at a premium for a while yet.

Ed's Public Safety will process your GSSF membership and purchase at the same time, so no waiting for your card before you buy:

Ed's is showing the $441 pricing on GAP Glocks. (That's the 2010 GSSF price. So far I haven't heard if it has changed for 2011.)

I hate to sound like a broken record, but it's a pretty good deal and joining GSSF also lets you attend matches (where cash and guns are often given away as prizes), and makes you eligible to take the armorer's class as well.

Going rate is 550. Inner city people pay up into the 600s easily. 558 is high average I'd say. So not by no means is it a "deal" but I wouldnt say you are getting ripped off either

the shop in my area sells most glocks for around 510-530 so i would say 558 is not a good price compared to where i live. if you order on-line from buds you have to figure in shipping and transfer fees so you're right back to being around 558 so you might as well buy the gun local. did you ask if 558 was the best they could do??? never hurts to ask if they are willing to negotiate price since all they can do is say no.

FYI, Gun Toter's Supply up in Archbald is (or at least used to be) a GSSF participating dealer. Google says that would be about an hour from Henryville. If they're still in the program they should honor the $441 price.

Theres a shop here near Lancaster that sells ALL new Glocks, gen 3 or 4, for 499. Without the blue label credentials thats the best Ive seen.
