Pittsburgh Area - NRA Basic Course?

I want to apply for a FL CHL but the FL State Police website says I need either a NRA basic course or a Hunter Safety class.

Im new to the Pittsburgh area, so does anyone know where I can take this calls and it not cost me a lot of money?

Im willing to drive up to 100 mile radius around Pittsburgh to take the class.

Also, I went on the NRA website, but didn't find any info for taking those classes.

Your help is appreciated.

By the way, has anyone applied for a FL non resident CHL lately? If so , how long did it take to receive?

You just missed a combo Florida/First Steps class at PMSC tonight.

They do First Steps every month
Contact Bill Chessmen.
"We will be running NRA First Steps Pistol Classes the first Tuesday of each month throughout the Spring. Cost is $50 and you should preregister by paying $25, thru me. Classes are in Combo Building and start at 6 PM. till about 9:30. If questions e-mail me. Dates: Jan 4th, Feb 8th, March 1, April 5th, May 3rd."

Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol club offers this course to non members every 3 months or so. I think cost is 50. They are right next to bradys run park near Chippawa. Check them out on the web for the next class

Sounds good.
I will preregister at the end of this week for the March class.
Do you give out documentation that the student passed the course?
