    Default Magazine shortage?

I have been searching high and low for some 15 rd mags for my M&P 40 FS and everyone says "OUT OF STOCK". I finally broke down and ordered 6 of them from Cabela's. Even there the wait is 3 weeks for the back order. Is this typical or have people just been stocking up on them because they fear a ban coming because of the recent AZ. shootings?
I have two guns, one for each of ya.

I have been finding the same thing while looking for my M&P 9 Pro. There seems to be NO 17rd mags anywhere to be found.

I ordered some thru Botach Tactical on Dec 30th.....just emailed them and they said they have no idea when they will have them in stock so I cancelled the order.

Anyone else have a line on high-cap mags?

OK so I just checked a web site. it says they have 59 S&W M&P40/.357 fullsize mags in stock for 24.99 each. they say they are factory new 15 rd. S&W mags..

Unfotunatly they are backordered on the 9MM fullsize 17 rounders. Sorry JohnUSCG

Now this web site has also been out of the 40/.357 compacts for a LONG time now.

    Get ordering...here is the link...

Yup. I have 6.8SPC mags on order and was told the other day they will not be available until around May/June.

I thought to stock up on Browning Hi-power mags and was shocked at the price, $43 each. I would have ordered aftermarket mags but my experience has been they suck. So I bit the bullet and ordered 5....ouch!

I know you said that your experience with aftermkt mags is that they suck, but the Argentine ones are contract mags and might be worth a try @ $17.

Anyway, my H&K mags are always hard to find a deal on, but I have still been picking up some S&W 59 mags for my Daewoo on the cheap.

Mec gar is one brand of aftermarket mags that are good. Link to mec gar mags for browning hi power. And top gun supply is good dealer.

    Thanks for that link, 39Flathead.

I did see the Argetinian mags before but had not heard any positive reviews. Now that I have sunk over $200 in Browning mags I will probably get a couple extra of the Argentines.

The Pro-mags suck the worst and the Mec-gar mags were unreliable.
