On the other hand, every time I get a new suppressor, I have the urge to go to the range right away to test it out. So for me, stopping by the FFL to pick it up isn't a big deal when he's basically right next to the range.

More options better though.

It would be so funny to watch an education day with congress by taking them to the range and shooting a variety of suppressed guns. Thanks to the movies these idiots think that you could be three feet away and not hear a gun go off. The only gun I've ever seen that was almost movie quite was a 300 black out bolt action that was damn near silent. Even my 22lr pistol suppressed someone would hear 50' away.

I read something interesting a while ago. As a bullet moving at subsonic speed displaces the air as it plows through it, the air moving over the meplat increases in speed, actually exceeding the speed of sound, similar to a venturi effect. May be why you can still hear the .22 (which I presume would be a sub-sonic type). I'm guessing a longer pointier bullet would have less transition of air, which is part of the higher BC.

Sorry, I'll hold out for the .gov to take suppressors off the NFA list, those bastards take enough of m money every April.
