Default prohibited or non-prohibited questions and looking for a lawyer

I have been reading the forum for about two weeks now and I am confused.
I have gone satisfied and then keep digging and then filled with sorrow.

I just now need some help on figuring this out and guessing that I need to get a lawyer.

I originally wanted to get a handgun and LTCF for self defense.
I am a merchant with a retail store and at times carry large sums of cash.
I close up late at night by myself and the shopping strip is empty and dark.
I assume any place or neighborhood has the same rates of robberies, etc.

I have a drug history and convicted of drug possession and M2 conviction.
No charges for roughly 10 years.

The LTCF is out the window for these convictions.
Maybe a lawyer can help restore LTCF rights?
Willing to pay for my safety.

    So on to the next...

If I cant carry, then at least I can target shoot and teach my 10 year old son and possibly even go small game hunting at some point?

So, I want to buy a rifle to target shoot.

    Reading more and more again.
The M2 is allowed in the purchase?
The M ( I assume M3 for small possession) and summary is allowed?

    But now the tricky part...

I went to drug rehab I think 3 times on my own (all over 10 years ago)
But I possibly have been court ordered to go once either to rehab,
or to a halfway house, but I can't honestly remember.

So if court ordered to drug rehab, that would go under mental inst.
I just read about tonight and it is new news.

***And also, all forms are different and I am really lost.
This is all my searching and reading.

I need more input and best to say that I need a lawyer.
I want to at least restore my purchase rights (if necessary)
But would like to take it as far as restoring all my firearm rights (if possible)

I am 33 yrs with 2 children and one on the way.
Being a user of drugs has not been in my life for 10 yrs.

    Is a pardon possible?
Because of multiple charges and such, do I need multiple pardons?

Any helps is greatful and I thank you for comments and thoughts before hand.

Unfortunately i can't answer your questions, but i do wish you luck and hope that everything works out and your rights are restored. It's a shame that this country still sees fit to treat drug abuse as a criminal issue. You probably worked very hard to make a recovery and it saddens me that so many like you end up marked for life with criminal drug convictions.

Pardons are possible, and you sound like a good candidate from what you've posted.

I have applied for and received multiple pardons at one shot for clients. You don't have to send in multiple applications, you can get one consolidated pardon.

There's a formal process for pardons, and there are things that work and things that don't. It's all in how you phrase things. You can't lie to the Board (they have an investigator, and they WILL find out), but you can certainly emphasize some aspects more than others.

Feel free to PM me, this is the kind of work that I do quite a bit of.

    Thanks guys.

I have been clean for quite a while, and have no reserved plans on giving my life up for using drugs one last time.

I have done the crime and the time, and have gotten on with my life.

I now play a nice role in my hometown putting my kids in school, where I went to school.
I have respect for everyone including myself.

GL, a PM is on its way.
I would have done it outright, but wanted to exercise my forum rights, as I participate on several.

    Thanks

    more input is still welcome
