Nostalgia and Hollywood purposes, mostly. Can be used for self defense, if it is the only gun that you own. Make sure it is not the only gun you own, or buy your primary SD/HD weapon first.

Well I guess when they remake dirty harry they will have a few more options than the 44. I was leaning more too the barrel length of the rj28 I know the judge got past being a short barreled shot gun because of the riffleing and the ability to shoot the 45lc but the 28 just does 28 and I wonder how the kick on that thing would be. I've shot my mossy 12 one handed(not accurately) and it wasn't to bad but I think my 24" barrel had enough weight to take off some recoil but with an 8" almost 5lb gun might not do enough to not smack yourself in the face, but then again I am not experienced with a 28. And the rjmag 454 does it have the shallow riffleing or is it full I didnt see that on the description anywhere

The only thing more sad than people buying these things is that S&W has now lowered themselves to copy them.

If I wanted a 454 Casull I'd buy a gun chambered in it, not a revolving joke of a pistol that has a cylinder longer than most mouse gun barrels.
