Depends on the store. Some will cut you a break on price if it's all cash others will not care how you pay. Call and ask.

I know the CC company charges the business but to me that's the cost of doing business. How much business would you miss out on if you were a cash only business?

I know this is a different business entirely, but a local eatery, "The Waffle Shop" is a cash only affair and is packed every weekend and is busy during the week. Only serves breakfast and lunch, but has a quality product and excellent service. If I had a cash only shop that had great service and below average prices, I'd pay cash. Of course, I'm totally loaded

It depends on the place your at. If they will move on the price in general then paying with cash will typically get you at least a minor discount. Most credit card companies charge around 3%. When I buy in person I try to get a 5% discount for paying cash and go from there.
Best advice is to just ask. Worst that can happen is you are told no. It's not like they won't accept your cash payment if there isn't a discount.
