    Default voter registration party change

Right now my wife and I are registered as "no affiliation'. Do we need to be registered as republican in PA to vote in the republican primaries???

    Thanks,
    -Nate

Yes. Individuals must be registered and enrolled in a political party to vote in that party's primary.

I'm normally an independent, but when the primaries roll around, I register for the party (usually republican) that has the candidates I want to choose from. Once the primaries are over, I go back to the original party. My wife doesn't like this, but I want my chance to cast my vote for the person I want to represent me.

Same here... Just filled out the form online, printed and mailed it. For the time being I'll be a republican.
