Default Suggestion for Ruger Mini optic

I searched around here can't find anything on it, has anyone got a optic on a Ruger Mini?

I'm looking to put something on my Mini-30 and not looking to spend more then the rifle is worth.

I'd rethink the "more than the rifle is worth" thing, if I were you. Good CQB (close-quarter battle) optics can be had for $300+, used, a bit more new, but you'll definitely get your money's worth in longevity and optical clarity no matter what you spend. What sort of mount do you have for the rifle, or at least in mind?

Yeah King I am not going to put more then say 2-300 into an optic. I'll be using the rugers rings that are designed for the mini.

Worth more than the rifle. To each his own.

The Ruger standard rings are 1". Find yourself a decent used scope, perhaps a 3-9x40, with a 1" tube. If you want to learn how to shoot for repeatable accuracy, get one with a mildot reticle and target knobs. Generally speaking, if you shop a site like SWFA's "Sample List" you should find something acceptable.

An Eotech is not more then a ruger mini, maybe all the mods he's got on that thing is but definitely not what I am going to do with mine.

The light just came on and I will be upgrading the Nikon prostaff on my Remington 700 and using that on my Mini. I'd rather spend the money on my 308.

Obviously I knew the EOTech I bought was not worth more than the rifle. What I meant was, a couple mods here and there and you're beyond the cost of the rifle. Best of luck on your mini.
