Default Since I know nearly all of you carry swear by night sights - help me choose!?

I just bought my XDm .45 last night, he hadn't had the nightsights model nor did his wholesaler, but I ended up paying $575 with tax and got range passes and half off my first box of SD ammo, so I went with the regular sights.

What night sights would you guys recommend? Are the Truglo TFO's worth the additional money over the Trijicons? Any other brands that would fit my Crossbreed Supertuck that was fitted for trijicons *which I don't think they had to change it for them anyway*

    Thanks

I know a lot of people swear by those TFO, but I personally love my trijis. They are bright, they don't change the appearance of the firearm and they were semi easy to install.

I have Trijicons on my M&P and Meprolights on my Ruger GP100. Both appear to be of good quality and work just fine. As far as holster considerations, both were drop-in replacements for the original sights. You want someone with the right tool to do the replacement if they need to be drifted in -- it's easy to crack them. One of my Trijicons went dark after a few weeks and the shop replaced it (they didn't use a sight pusher).

If I had it to do over again, I might just go with the front sight.

The fiber optic rods on the TFO's have been known to fall out.

Not sure about the XD but look at ameriglo, they make some great options for the GLOCK and MP.
I like a green front, yellow rear, with an outline of some color up front and nothing in the rear.

My Mepro's have always glowed brighter than my Triji's. So I buy it with, or install, Meprolight sights on all my guns.

Fighting guns get XS Big Dots. End of story.

Oh, and TFO's break. Don't waste your time.

I have the Trijicons on my M&P 40 and I love them. Although i must tell you i have never used any of the others listed so i really can not compare them.
Trijicon and Meprolight are the two most popular IMHO.
I have two guns, one for each of ya.

I have Meprolight sights on all my guns.

I've had Trijicons on a couple guns and replaced them with Mepros.

I didn't like the Trijicon sights at night.

But it's just a personal preference, they're all good, and much better than facory Glock sights.

Another vote for Mepros here. I have Glocks with both Trijicons and Mepros and the Meps are brighter and in my opinion have better white outlines too.
