Where do people in MontCo go to buy guns?
I moved here from Western PA several months ago. I've since gone back twice to Washington, PA (Ace Sporting Goods) to buy handguns. Any of you familiar with Ace know they have unbelievable selection and pricing.
In any event, I figured finding something similar on the westside of Philly would be a snap. I visited the dealer in Norristown and the shop is slightly bigger than my garage with very little selection. I joined Targetmaster in Chadd's Ford for shooting. They have a decent selection, but the pricing is typically considerably higher than Ace.
Is there a place out there I'm overlooking?

Insite Firearms (Jeffersonville) and King Shooters (KoP) are both very close to you.

Tanner's is a little further, but worth the trip.

Re: Where do people in MontCo go to buy guns?
Ohh yeah I know of Ace's. I went to college at Cal and went to that gun store a few times. They have a great selection, but I think their prices were high.
Their is a gun shop Noth or Norristown (the name and exact location is slipping me). It's off of Germantown rd going away from the hell whole of Norristown. Check that area. Sorry for not being more specific wish I remembered the name and exact location. It's next to a beer destributer and a small strip mall.
You got American Arms and Ammo on 309 (highly reccomended, really great guys)
Tagertworld on 202
Both places near Montgomeryville.
Since your coming into Chadd Ford you go north and their are a few more gun shops. Near Rt30

Seneca Arms. John is a great guy to deal with. The only problem is his store hours. He cut them back to three days a week a while back to spend more time with his family. I think He's open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:30-5:00.

I'm from Montco but moved west.
Short answer: the internet, but I would say that applies no matter where you live.
King's is a nice small local shop. I make sure to give them some business now and then.

Classic Pistol is a great place in Montco (or maybe it's just over the border into bucks). Kind of far from you though.

I've had a few recos for Classic Pistol -- sounds like its worth the drive. I actually bought a gun today from Targetmaster (S&W Bodyguard .380). They lowered the price $50 the past week or so, and became better aligned with the market. To be honest, not sure about the gun itself -- need to shoot it and see. But the transaction was good -- quick and pleasant.

Re: Where do people in MontCo go to buy guns?
My two favorite shops in Montgomery Co. is Seneca Arms and Tanners.
John has great prices on used firearms.
Tanners also has great prices on used firearms. Tanners has a larger selection overall. I was just there over the weekend and it was tough walking out not buying anything. I did a transfer on Saturday and had cash in hand.
Tanners is a large FN dealer, so if you want anything FN...check with them.
