Recommend a CC Pistol - Heading to Gettysburg Gun Show!
I'm heading to the Gettysburg gun show this Saturday and would like to poll you guys and find out, based on my requirements, what a good CC pistol would be. My requirements are:
1) At least a .357 or larger (SIG or otherwise)
2) All metal frame (some polymer is okay)
3) Barrel no longer than 3.5"
4) Overall length no longer than 7"
5) Hammer fired (with DA and SA)
6) De-cocker would be nice, but not necessary
7) Sight type, rail system, or type of finish doesn't matter
These "requirements" are fairly loose, so feel free to fudge where you like.

The Sig P-239 comes very close to meeting all your requirements.

A Smith and Wesson Model 60 fits your description rather well.
1) .357 Magnum
2) All steel
3) 2 inch barrel
4) Shorter than 7"
5) DA/SA
6) Decocker is your thumb on the hammer, or you can put your hand in between the hammer and pin for added safety.
7) Sights are for close range defense, no rail, stainless steel

Colt Commander in either 45 ACP or 10MM will meet all your requirements.
Myself I have both and like the Colt Commander in 10MM.The oracle is in. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!!

Re: Recommend a CC Pistol - Heading to Gettysburg Gun Show!
Thank you all for your wonderful recommendations! The Kimber and Springfield models are seriously nice, (almost like show pieces) and a bit out of my price range. I guess I should have mentioned that I looking at around a $500 budget, which I'm sure I can find something nice, regardless.
The Model 60 and the CZ, ironically enough, are pistols I was looking at and it's great that it was mentioned again in this thread. The P239 and Commander are also great pistols, and I really like them a lot. My only problem is that they might be too expensive at the gun show, but we'll see.
Feel free to add more recommendations and thanks a bunch!
