Have you been attending the "open to the public" shoots each month?

The purpose of the sponsor is a perceived issue with the laxity of safety ethic on some new recruits, and is a "roll back" not quite to prior levels (when they came to your house to interview you).

The sponsor is responsible if you commit a major safety violation in the first year or two of your membership.

They believe if you are attending the open events (practical rifle, action pistol, sporting clays, trap every thursday, etc etc) that you will have met someone who would be willing to vouch for you.

Yeah, that as been a complaint for which I have no answer. Recent findings, and a bylaws change to re-institute prior to the membership list opening.

The website, I believe is back up.

Current schedule of monthly open events:

First SATURDAY: Action Pistol (8 AM set up)
    First SUNDAY: Trap (10 AM-
Second sunday: No firearms till 1 due to 3d archery (Mar through Nov)
Third Sunday: CMP/NRA Highpower (sign up at 8) at 100 yards on the 200 yard range
Third Sunday, select months Spring and Fall: Black Powder on the 50 yard range
Fourth Sat: Practical Rifle (defensive carbine?)
    Select fourth Sunday: sporting clays

every Thursday, weather permitting: Trap (5 PM till NLT 9:00)
every FRIDAY night: Indoor archery 5 PM "white" building

Indoor firearms range currently OOS planning for "in repair"

It was tough but after about a 2year wait I'm finally getting in. The best advice I can give you is to keep trying.
