Default Best M1911 For The Price

Hey everyone, I am looking at getting an M1911. I don't want to spend too much on it (< $600). I was looking at a Springfield, but my friend is trying to convince me to get a Rock Island. Both have their good points, and I am yet to see a bad review for the Rock Island. Please give me any and all tips you could! It's not limited to those two brands.

    Thanks

I don't own one, but with what you are looking for you might want to consider the Para Ordinance GI Expert.

    Just something to think about.

I have to say the springfield GI. Very nice guns. If I had the cha ching right now, I would buy one...

I am very satisfied with my RIA compact (even though it is for sale at the moment). It shoots true and have only had a failure or 2 but was determined to be crappy ammo. As far as best for you buck I would have to say RIA but I am biased.

His RIA is pretty nice too, you should check it out. Has normal wear and tear marks on the barrel, and trigger, but the gun is in good shape otherwise(from what I can tell in the photos)

Nothing wrong with a Taurus PT1911. I have heard a lot of good things about them.

My friend with the RIA M1911 also has a Taurus PT90 or something like that and I am not a fan of it. It has jammed a few times. Thanks for all the help guys!

Taurus Pt1911 without hesitation, comes fully loaded , nothing to do on it except maybe change the plastic grips on it, you will not find a Para ord or STI for $600.

Here my PT 1911 with Hogue Kingwood grips
