Looking for an STI pistol Night Hawk vs the Edge?
Looking for an STI pistol Night Hawk vs the Edge? Whats the difference in these two excellent 1911 pistols. Which gives the most bang for the Bucks?
What are features that maynot be worth the extra cost? How accurate are these guns compared to a Top of the line Wilson or Les Baure? What would you pay for each? Would you buy in 45acp or 40 cal or 38 super? I don't have 38 super dies.
Big investment for me, I don't need another 1911, I just want a STI.

Re: Looking for an STI pistol Night Hawk vs the Edge?
Hey man, you're better off asking on 1911forum.com or at the Brian Enos forum. Pretty much the only people on here that run real comp guns are LycanrandomshitinthemiddleThrope and BerksCountyDave, as far as I know.
I can't really help you, but I know pretty much all major limited and open players run 2011 types or home builds. The Hand Gunner in topton can help some, as they do work on them and order them from time to time.

Re: Looking for an STI pistol Night Hawk vs the Edge?
Thanks but I thought the guns mentioned were personal self defense verison of the STI not Race guns, maybe platforms for a comp gun build (whcih any store bought gun could be).
I really thought that the NH and E were deefensive personal protection pieces offered by Sti.
Thanks anyway, more info would be helpful in this choice!

Re: Looking for an STI pistol Night Hawk vs the Edge?
I mean, they are, but some LEOs run double stacks and some people use an open gun for HD, so whatever.
I hear nothing but good things about the STI/SVI stuff, and see a lot of it in use. I have also run kimbers and colts, and have a Dan Wesson and Les Baer at the moment. If you'd like, I'd be happy to give you more specs and info, or even let you shoot them to see how you like em. SHoot me a PM

Re: Looking for an STI pistol Night Hawk vs the Edge?
456 - Thanks for your input, but if you don't know just say so. Both of these guns are 2011/Modified 1911 platforms from Sti. The NH is an STI and the Edge is another version from the same company. There maybe a Airsoft gun version or name NH but I'm not interested in that. I have enough AS replicas.
SteveSterno I have 3 1911s a mod Cold Commander, a 198* Kimber and a SAM customized 1911. I know how 1911s handle and shoot though I would like to shoot Your Dan WEsson, but I live too far away. I'd like as much info as you canon the two guns I'm torn between.

Re: Looking for an STI pistol Night Hawk vs the Edge?
I checked STI's site, no mention of a Night Hawk. I have however owned a Trojan 5.0 9mm and a VIP 9mm. Both were great guns.
