insight,norristown
had to leave my beloved and most awesome city of philadelphia for a trip to the dud-burbs and since im in the market for a new nine i thought i would make the best of it by doing what we all love to do, fondle some guns. i stopped in at insight to compare, hk 2000, xd 9 and a berreta px4. i have decided on the berreta .
the xd i did not like the feel of and although i really liked the hk i am more comfortable with the controls on the berreta having owned a 92-f for 23 years and i also liked the slimness of it and the softer contours of the frame and slide.
just under $500 for the px-4. joe was a pleasure to speak with and i did really like the shop. very nice inventory of new and used and a good healthy mix of zombie slayers as well as hunting firearms.
any opinions on any of these pistols or experience at insight appreciatedTo err is human, to be prepared divine

I use their shop before many times. They have been around for years under one ownership or another. I believe that one of the original three owners, whom is a retired police officer, now owns it. They are pretty good with customer service. There are no pressure sells and like you said they have a nice inventory to play with. Prices are not bad either.

Nothing but nice things to say about Insite. Luke Kelly is one of the original three owners, and has been a pleasure to work with every time I've been there.

Re: insight,norristown
I have used them for most of my firearm/accessory purchases. The only problem I have is not enough funds when I show up Very helpful especially for first time purchases and women. Wife and daughter use them almost exclusively!
Can't help on the pistol selection, as I don't have any range time on them.

"dud burbs?"
Yeah, I suppose we could have the lovely citizens that YOU have in The Socialist Repugnic of Philthydelphia.....who kill young ladies for their bicycles, who strangle women and who murder each other over stupid shit, to the tune of 300+ per year.
And the occupational "privilege" tax to boot.
And we COULD be governed by racist, discriminatory minorities and White-guilt liberals who go out of their way to award public work to non-White contractors.
Sounds like a real paradise you've got there.
Whatsa matter? No local Philthydelphia gun shops for you to patronize?

thanks for the input on the shop! im pretty certain i will be getting it at insight, i got a good vibe as soon as i walked in and we all know how some shops can be.
and forgive me yentl, although i am sure norristown , much like philly is full of many excellent folks, and despite some bad apples is a fine place, i must have forgotten what a hub of culture and history not to mention, a center of regional, national, and international business it is.
i apologize for that there. To err is human, to be prepared divine

Re: insight,norristown
I was shopping around for a Kimber and a friend told me about this shop. I stopped in and found what I was looking for cheaper than I had seen it anywhere else. Employees were friendly and very knowledgeable about the various guns we were looking at. Would not hesitate to go back even if it is a bit of a hike to get to. Closest place to me is Clayton's and well......................

Luke is an awesome owner and the definition of customer service.
Prices seem on par and his selection is very good. They are always running specials and should have coupons online as well.
Gun shops should take a page out of Insite.* Stay classy, Capital City VIP Gimp *
