Re: Carrying at Wells Fargo Center
They absolutely do have firearms lockers. I've used them...but only after I beep Yes, there is a certain door that you are far less likely to get wanded at, but every now and then they remember to staff that door. Usually for big games.

Re: Carrying at Wells Fargo Center
After I beep I'm escorted there by security. Its on the second floor in the security office with all the monitors. You could probably just go up to the guy with the wand and ask him to escort you there.

Re: Carrying at Wells Fargo Center
I know this thread is almost a year old, but I am going to the Flyers game on Thursday and was searching for a firearms policy, as I am most likely going to take the train and I would definitely prefer to carry.
WFC's site has nothing regarding firearms. http://www.wellsfargocenterphilly.com/arena-info.aspx
However, the Sixers page on NBA.com says WFC Security prohibits weapons. http://www.nba.com/sixers/tickets/sth_security.html
Then, I found the NHL.com/Flyers page about WFC policies, and they have nothing regarding firearms. http://flyers.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=68593
Since only the NBA link has something about firearms, it could be that it is an NBA policy.
I'm probably going to carry anyway and try to get there a little early and in through Chickie's & Pete's or something; one of the less conspicuous entrances.

**UPDATE**
Okay, just called and got to the security manager at the WFC.
I asked if they had security lockers to lock up firearms, and he said they do. Just tell security at the entrance you are armed and they will escort you there and lock it up and get a receipt. Very happy to hear this! Now I don't have to ride the train unarmed.

Re: Carrying at Wells Fargo Center
And to follow up, I did carry to WFC and it went very smooth.
I walked up to the main entrance, where the event staff were wanding people. I probably could have gotten it concealed, they were doing a very half assed job. Right when he went to wand me I said "I have a firearm to check in."
"Oh alright, follow me." He didn't seem surprised at all; I guess he's done it a few times.
My girlfriend and I followed him to the security office, where I spoke to a gentleman named Ralph. He had me follow him to the lock boxes. There were 8 of them on a shelf. He said pick a box, put your stuff in there and take the key.
He issued me a receipt and we went on our way.
After the game, we went back in to get it. I walked right over to the box, unlocked it and took my firearm and put it back on. Handed him the receipts and we left. You have to walk out a door in the office that leads directly outside.
My only gripe was the actual locks themselves. They were those generic circular lock and keys, where the keys are universal. I'm pretty sure any of those keys would have opened up my box. Other than that, it went well.
