H&K USP .45 Compact Review/Good Deal?

Purcashed a usp .45 compact with a tac rail light at cabelas earlier today.
have always wanted one from h&k reputation
just looking for some reiviews and any advice
as far as if it was a good deal to me it seems so based off net prices
it was listed for $499 in the used case and then another 10%/$50 off so it was $481 and change out the door
guns in very good shape

If it works better than my USP 40 (POS), then you got a good deal. It's rare to find an H&K at a price that is competitive with the rest of the guns in its class.

That does sound like a great deal. Not trying to steal the thread or anything but my uncle bought a brand new M&P at Cabelas this weekend for like 430$ out the door ... Makes me sick to think about how much I paid for mine at TargetMaster about a year ago

Did you call HK? I'm pretty confident they would have made it right.

B/c USP's tend to run pretty well, and for quite a long time. I would say you ended up with a rare lemon. Was it a used gun? Just curious.

As for the competitive price-wise... Well, if you're using other polymer pistols as a reference, then I guess I can see how you arrived at that conclusion, based solely on price and the fact that you had one of the few USP's that was apparently a "POS."

OP - You got a great deal. I have seen online sales where the USP's were LE trade-in's and beat to hell, and still went for over $500, IIRC...

I will knock the HK poly pistols where appropriate (sub-par DA/SA triggers, pricey mags, crappy sights on the HK45 and P30 from the factory), but I wouldn't call them POS either. Far from it actually - OMO, of course...
