Best Price on a used Glock 17
I'm looking for a used gen 3 Glock 17 that I can use as a plinker. It doesn't need to look pretty just function.
Can someone tell me what I should pay and/or where the best place to buy is? I've seen a few online just a little worried about buying a pistol without looking at it first.

$400-$500 seems reasonable.

You can get a brand new G17 for $460 ($425 + $35 GSSF membership).

I never see used glocks at a price I would pay. That two glocks that I bought new in 2010 (17 and 19) were still under 500.00

Try here (despite what his page says regarding current stock, it's worth a shot at calling or emailing him):

Glock Sport Shooting Foundation
GSSF Pistol Purchase Program
You would need to purchase through a participating dealer (usually they are the Glock LE dealers). You can call the GSSF office to find a dealer in your area. Or online, Ed's Public Safety is a popular dealer:

Re: Best Price on a used Glock 17
Definitely buy a NEW gun when you can. The bad thing about guns is if they are functional, they can still cost you some $$$, unlike a functional car that is rough around the edges. Sometimes, you can't give it away. Someone will always take a functional, but not so pretty firearm. Plus, you get the benefit of the full warranty, if such applies, and you know it doesn't have so many rounds through it, you can push the bullet through the barrel with a stick. JMHO
If it is a used gun that you know, it may be a different story.
