    Default Feature Request: Image Resizer

I know there's a plugin for VBulletin that will auto-resize images based upon User control panel settings. Any chance we could get that installed here? There's a preponderance of images that are huge, and it's a little frustrating when a huge image horizontally scrolls the screen with the text.

    Here's a link to it: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...=Image+Resizer

I think it would probably help out a lot for people that aren't sure how to resize photos before posting them.

ETA: Updated link to newer version of the plugin.

I doubt danp will install an image resizer on the forum. it'll cause increased loads on the servers and he's not really fond on doing much of anything of that nature...

From what I was reading about the original link I posted, although, I can't find anything about it on the updated one, all the resizing is done on the client side, not on the server side. It doesn't post process the the files once they're uploaded, it resizes during the display to the client, basically adding code to set height and width in html. So it shouldn't be adding increased loads on the server.

Here is a link to a free one that everybody could use before posting. It works well and gives you several options for size. Easy to use..

it's a plugin and plugins add code to the forum. I like image resizers and do use them on the forums I run, but I'm telling you what Dan is probably going to say in his reply to your request.

For XP go to the windows site below scroll the right side and look for (or just click the link in the quote for a direct download)
    Image Resizer
    ImageResizer.exe

    521 KB 2 min @ 28.8 Kbps
