Thumbs up N82 Tactical Holster for P220 Compact

    N82 Tactical

I saw these guys at the Valley Forge Show. I have a couple of crossbreed supertucks (PPS, P239) and I think they're great. However I didn't want to go in for that much for my P220 considering it's wider than a G19 and I wasn't sure I'd end up CC ing it (IWB) anyway. So i thought I give the $40 N8^2 Tactical holster (not a tactical holster, just N8 squared Tactical is their name). I'm really surprised at how comfortable it is. In terms of resiliency; I'm fairly confident it won't hold up like a crossbreed but it sure is comfortable and easy on the wallet.
A side note: you have zero ability to re-holster with this guy....retention is superb though.

Additional info: another nice attribute I realized today is that I can use this holster for my PPS (works well), G19, or p239 due to the elastics retention strategy. I'm liking this more and more.

That is definitely a funky looking holster. Never saw those before. Thanks for posting.

Agreed. That's why I didn't buy one while at the gun show. I took their business card and looked for some reviews on the Internet when I got home. There were a couple of YouTube reviews that were favorable enough for me to give it a try. If anyone decides to try one I'd love to hear your take on it.

I don't really like the idea of not being able to reholster once it is drawn, but I wouldn't mind giving one a try. Maybe for the G27..

It is a great idea, but at a few dollars more, www.AtomicDogHolsters.com is a far better option.

I hear you. I like that attribute on my crossbreeds more than I thought I would but my personal opinion is that I'll gladly sacrifice reholstering capability for comfort and/or concealability. Different strokes for different folks. If you haven't tried a crossbreed supertuck. There really comfortable, maybe not as much so as the n8-squared, but awesome retention, concealability, and reholstering...just a lot more expensive IMHO.
