Default new eotech .... which riser BCM flat top

    Hey all.

So I just picked up a NIB eotech 552 for $225 off craiglist. Got it home and LOVE it. Anyway it is going on a BCM middy flat top. I don't have a rear sight yet (thinking a DD fixed rear due to money, unless I can unload this damn glock laser).
I want to co witness in the lower 1/3 of the eotech.

    Which riser do I need?

And yes. I am sure it's 100 % real. I even called eotech with the serial and markings.

A LaRue QD mount will give you lower 1/3 co witness, but it's sorta' pricey. I went that way for my Aimpoint & EOTech, because I switch them back & forth between 2 AR's.

I like the LaRue, but is there anything cheaper? I have been looking at the YHM raiser, but does anyone have experience with it???

    Thanks for the link

He does have a couple on there though... which one are you using that allows lower 1/3 co witness?

Maybe a better way to ask is how far (1/2" vs. .30" vs. ?) should it be raised to accomplish this co witness style?

The Larue, ADM, and YHM are all between .25" and .30" in height. All give you the "lower third" co-witness. .5" won't work.

The YHM should be fine, but you have no QD capability. For a range gun, I'd go for the YHM without hesitation. For a defensive carbine, I'd spend the few extra bucks.

FYI, G&R has the Lt-110 for less than $86, currently.

At that price, I think it's the way to go.
