Re: CLEOs / Countys That Sign NFA Forms
Mercer County will NOT sign as told to me by Class 3 supply in Mercer CO.
Butler Co will sign as told to me by a NFA dealer in cranberry twp, butler Co.
I am refering to the sheriff of those counties.

Re: CLEOs / Countys That Sign NFA Forms
I know the NFA stuff is a big wait, but maybe we could add wait times/references required to the stats too?
It will most likely vary depending on if you've gotten sign-offs before, or if you know the CLEO, but it may be helpful to know what the wait times may look like.

Mabuz,
Sorry you had to wait to get a signature, as if you dont already have to wait long enough for the BATFE to move on approval.
Hang in there!

Haha, thanks. I'm going to give him a call if I hit two weeks and haven't heard back yet. I'm sure the man has more to do than give out autographs, but hopefully he gets back to me before I have to call and bother him about it.
I figure I'll be waiting a while anyways, so what's a couple extra weeks.Last edited by Mabuz; January 11th, 2011 at 04:31 PM. Reason: see above

Re: CLEOs / Countys That Sign NFA Forms
threads like this are NOT a really good idea.
CLEOs that may have been inclined to sign before, may not be if its made public that they do.
remember, they aren't required to do so, use your best judgment here.. I know of at least 1 PA CLEOs that now refuses to sign after he was questioned by a reporter about it."Oderint Dum Metuant" - BMFH

To Serve and Protect.
NFA is not a Police Only club.
This is a law abiding citizen asking a CLEO to sign a piece of paperwork which basically notifies the CLEO that the device which is legal to own will be in his jurisdiction.
If he doesn't want to know whats going on in his jurisdiction he shouldn't be the CLEO.- I actually read Atlas Shrugged. Did Glen Beck? Did you?

Re: CLEOs / Countys That Sign NFA Forms
as the owner of multiple NFA items, i know what NFA is, thanks
actually, no, its not what you say it is, actually read the CLEO signatory area.
its the CLEO confirming that the device is legal in his jurisdiction, and the CLEO has no information that leads him to believe it will misused by the person whose paperwork he is signing.
it has nothing to do with the CLEO wanting, or not wanting to know anything."Oderint Dum Metuant" - BMFH
