    Default "Russian" AR lowers?

In the Morning Call's sports section today 1/9/11 there was the usual ad for Eagle Arms. One the the things that got me, tell me if I looked at it wrong, was stripped AR lowers for $89, ok but-
-> the ad block labeled them as Russian inc with hammer and sickle logos.
They are closed today or I would just go look but-
1- Is the such a thing as a russki ar lower?
2- If so would 922r come into play?
3- Who exactly is making them?

I can't find a digtal copy I guess I could scan it later.

You sure the ad didn't say it would accept the Russian ammo. I'd be curious, too.

Might be kinda cool to slap a 5.45x39 upper on!

    1. It'd be the first I've heard of. I guess Safir Arms made AR lowers in Turkey. Why not?
    2. Not unless you find a Russian AR-15 parts kit. As long as you have less than 10 of the ATF-defined imported parts, you're fine.
    3. ?????

    I don't think I'd want a lower with a Soviet logo.

It's about as cool as some dumbass kid walking around college with a Che shirt.

The Hammer and Sickle should be held in the same regards(or worse) as a Swastika.

A bit of trivia, the Germans called it "der Hakenkreuz," or "hooked cross."

They did not use the term "swastika."

As Noah said, Also, It predates the Nazis by centuries as a religious symbol.

So, Anybody find out if the Russians are making AR lowers?
