just got home with my newest addition to the cabinet.

Ruger SR9-C 9mm.

I'll get to shoot it tomorrow but does anyone have any suggustion or knowledge of these weapons?

SR9c is going to be my first gun purchase in a few weeks.

From everything I read about them, the gun will be tight at first.
Clean it before your first shoot and some people also say leaving it with the slide open for a few days helps.
200+rounds is where you should start to feel the gun loosening up.

I have a SR-9 I carry everyday and I just put a SR-9c on layaway for my wife. LOVE this gun. Take it completely apart including the firing pin and clean the hell out of it then lube it real good before you use it for the first time. Leave it cocked back overnight and fully load your mags and let them sit overnight also. PM me if you have any questions.

so far i've been very impressed with this weapon so far. i have not taken it apart and cleaned it but after tomorrow i'll have more than 200 rounds through it so i'll have to give it a good cleaning.

anhow, does anyone have any thoughts on this weapons for the IDPA shoots? i think with a few 17 round mags this might just be about the perfect weapon for me. i'll post my first few 10 round targets at 10 yards with the gun tomorrow.
