Default Savage Scout Rifle - Thoughts?

Does anyone have any experience with the Savage 10FCM Scout?

20.5" barrel, DBM, forward mounted scope mount and Ghost ring sights are standard,

It is available in .308 or 7.62x39
    Here's the link.

Comments welcome about this rifle in both calibers.
    Thanks

Aside from slightly lower velocity , I can't see why this rifle would be anything but just as accurate and reliable as any other Savage. My 10FP and I have embarrased several other rifles costing several times as much.

    I don't speak English , I talk American!

I have always liked the scout concept. I was looking at them along with the Steyr Cooper Scout, but the Steyrs are pricey.

I like Savage rifles since they shoot so well and you can do much of the work when you decide to upgrade. If you get the Savage Scout...take a look at getting a CDI mag system to replace the Savage mag system.

What would you like to know. I got one in 308. Accurate, yep. Trigger, great. The sling is no bonus. Great for the woods. Cant go wrong with Iron sights and a scope. Thats why I bought it instead of other "scouts" I couldnt find one to fondle fitst though. The rear peep sight IMO is better than standard Iron sights. However this summer I will be putting some sort of hi viz type sight on the front. I suggest it if your looking for a scout riffle. Plus you can get one for around 650 if you look. Just make sure it has the accu stock. I have been told the stocks on the older ones stunk.
    Hope this helps.
If you get to blair county your more than welcome to check it out.
