    not sure about other models of the buckmark, but on mine, you do not have to remove the barrel.

    My chipmunk bolt-pistol beat out a few Buckmark and Ruger guys this summer at a comp. Nothing like crushing egos with a $150 pistol with iron sights. I tell my students that comfort is one of the most important aspects of shooting your guns well. So if you like the feel of one over another, stick with that one, and practice like mad with it. Both guns have great reps, you can't go wrong with either.
