Dan Wesson 15-2 Cleaning Question?...
A buddy of mine just bought a DW Model 15-2 in .357 mag, and he was cleaning it today and had a question. He said he removed the grips and was scrubbing the frame with solvent and said he got some Red stuff (like a red ink, It was Bright red) on his patches and was wondering what it could be, I couldnt give him a answer so im wondering if anyone here might be able too. Thanks!
Dont Forget To Give Me Some Good Rep! Thanks!

Re: Dan Wesson 15-2 Cleaning Question?...
Could be residue from corrosion inhibitor if the gun was new. If gun was used, residue from previous owner's cleaning compounds, or rust, even. Copper fouling gives a blue color if it is the barrel). Never seen a bright red color while cleaning.
