ADVANCED DEFENSIVE CARBINE (3-DAY) $400
Just as in Advanced Defensive Handgun, the Advanced Defensive Carbine Course will reinforce and build upon the skills of Defensive Carbine. All core skills are drilled and practiced to maintain a solid base of fundamental proficiency. In this course the shooter will also integrate the defensive handgun alongside the defensive carbine as an integrated weapons system. Advanced topics will include: rifle to handgun transitions, carbine manipulation in confined spaces, using the carbine from and against vehicles, partner tactics, wounded / compromised ability manipulation, and low-light carbine tactics.
Prerequisite: Completion of a D.A.T. Defensive Carbine or Comparable training as approved by D.A.T. Staff (military, law enforcement, other private training
Cost: $400.00
Minimum enrollment: 8 students
Maximum enrollment: 24 students
****Student Responsibility****
Ammunition: 1,000 rounds rifle + 200 rounds handgun
Equipment:
• Working Modern Defensive Carbine
• Minimum of 3 magazines, (4 – 6 is ideal)
• Magazine carrier, chest rig, belt pouches (choose gear that is realistic to your defensive goals)
• Tactical Style Sling (capable of carrying the rifle muzzle down in front of the shooter)
• Working Modern handgun, with at least 3 magazines or speed loaders
• Holster and Magazine Carrier (Open, Concealed, Duty or Tactical)
• Pants with belt
• Sturdy footwear
• Hat with a brim
• Weather appropriate gear (rain gear, sunscreen, etc.)
• Eye and Ear Protection
• Knee & Elbow pads *optional
• Shooting mat *optional

There is no low-light component to this course, sorry.
