1897 trapdoor springfield
looking for value and just more info on these. I didn't get too much when I googled it.

yeah.
pretty sure there is no 1897 trap door. the model 1888 was the last of the trap door series....it saw not quite 5000 units made in its last year......1893. the krag took over in 1892. figure out what you have and we can talk more.it's only metal, we can out think it....
