    Default AK,SAIGA Colored lettering?...

So...I've typed in all the key words and tags I could think of but it has taken me nowhere. I'm just wondering how to color the "S" and "F" and all the other lettering on my SAIGA. I've seen many Ak's with red and white paint on all the lettering, but I'm wondering what goes into coloring all that? Thanks guys.

Dab the paint on the S and F, wait 1 minute, then press and wipe
across the surface with a thin linen cloth dipped in solvent, e.g., xylene.

The excess paint above the depressed areas will be wiped away ---leaving only the paint on the S and F.

I think most people use either nail polish or paint.

For paint, you an apply with a toothpick

    Crayon.

Old dealer trick to make lettering stand out, is plenty durable once in the lettering, but is not permanant, can be re-applied as needed.

Sharpie paint pen. Color the piss out of the letters, let dry, repeat until they are filled and wipe down with Hoppes solvent, the paint in the letters will remain.

    X3 for me!

I did the crayon first (it helps A LOT to warm the surface first...the crayon will melt). I liked it so much on my Saiga, I got some auto touch up paint (Duplicolor) and used that. Very, very durable!
