Allrightie then!!
I'm an official member now at the Rifle Club!
No exact dates scheduled for the shotgun bowling yet, but they do start in October and into November to get everyone ready for deer season. You never see a motorcycle parked ouside a psychiatrist's office!

Re: Frustration on where to shoot!!!!
I got no idea who came up with an arbitrary 5 round rule.
OK - so I guess no double taps, speed shooting and their heads would explode if I did some handgun drills.
I fail to see the point of training under those conditions. I tend to thing it might hurt more than help

Re: Frustration on where to shoot!!!!
The idea I believe is to keep it a "sportsman's" club.
Basically the good ol' boy hunter crowd. I know they really raised hell at the Jefferson Sportsman's Club when the AR's got popular and the guys would be out there with 30rnd mags.
Put a stop to that real quick from what my neighbor told me.You never see a motorcycle parked ouside a psychiatrist's office!

Re: Frustration on where to shoot!!!!
So they stopped lawful shooters because they didn't like their rifles?

Re: Frustration on where to shoot!!!!
There seems to be a number of clubs doing this practice recently. I know the state game lands do it, but I can't seem to understand the basis behind a private club doing it. Maybe it's just to try and keep total round count down by frustrating people so it puts less wear on the backstops...?

Re: Frustration on where to shoot!!!!
No idea - but in my experience, the dislike for the EBR is founded in old-school shooters who think the 2nd Amendment is for hunting.
They don't see the need or purpose of the "machine guns" and think they should be banned.
Just like Jim Zumbo . . . their guns are OK - but yours needs to be taken away

Re: Frustration on where to shoot!!!!
I just searched around a bit more and found a club that does not feel it justified to keep round count down. I am not someone who shoots machine guns or anything like that, but I also don't want to have to stop to reload shortly after starting. It's just a nuisance when I am trying to concentrate.

Re: Frustration on where to shoot!!!!
I will not take any of my business to Freedom Armory, went there a few weeks ago to pick up some ammo, was going to pay with a credit card and they charge an extra 3% fee for use a credit card. Told the guy that it was against visa rules to charge extra for credit, price tag on the ammo was marked at $29.95 the guy then states that they offer a cash discount. I own my own business and know the rules when it comes to credit cards. If they offer a cash discount then the merchaindise needs to be marked up 3% then discounted for cash payment, not the way they are doing it. Just my opinion on the place.
